Nice visit

Late last night we delivered to Graniteville, SC.  Our son is going to school for the Army rght now in Fort Gordon, GA.  We called him and arranged a pick up point so we could spend a short time with him.  He's looking good and in good spirits as well.

He was telling us a few of the things he's gone through while he was here and one thing that pops into my mind is his last experience on a Ruck Run. This is where they're carrying all their equipment and they have to complete a certain amount of miles in a certain amount of time....running.  Needless to say he was tired, pouring off sweat and just plain drenched head to toe.  But when he told me about his feet I got squeamish and then concerned as a mother will do.  He had blisters covering his feet.  He sent me pictures and they were bad but when we got together last night he offered to show us the actual oozing sores and I opted out. 

The point is he is recovering and he completed his run and he won a Gold Medal to wear on his actual uniform.  We're so Proud of him.
